Job Description

Our client, a well-known retail company, is looking for a Web Designer to join their team for a hybrid 3- month contract in Manhattan, NY. This position requires working onsite 2-3 days a week. The ideal candidate will have experience designing in WordPress as well as experience in an editorial digital site is required.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain the homepage and article pages, ensuring visual consistency.
• Conduct photo research using stock sites and create graphics using existing assets.
• Collaborate with teams to develop creative concepts for editorial content.
• Stay updated on fashion and social media trends.
• Work efficiently under tight deadlines, demonstrating strong organizational skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years in a design role (including internships), preferably in fashion editorial.
• Proficiency in WordPress (or another CMS), Adobe Suite, and Mac systems.
• Experience designing for an editorial website.
• Ability to create visually compelling designs using existing images.
• Strong photo research skills.
