Job Description

Our client, a well-known retail company, is looking for a Web Designer to join their team for a hybrid 3- month contract in Manhattan, NY. This position requires working onsite 2-3 days a week. The ideal candidate will have experience designing in WordPress as well as experience in an editorial digital site is required.

Responsibilities:

Design and maintain the homepage and article pages, ensuring visual consistency.
Conduct photo research using stock sites and create graphics using existing assets.
Collaborate with teams to develop creative concepts for editorial content.
Stay updated on fashion and social media trends.
Work efficiently under tight deadlines, demonstrating strong organizational skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
1-2 years in a design role (including internships), preferably in fashion editorial.
Proficiency in WordPress (or another CMS), Adobe Suite, and Mac systems.
Experience designing for an editorial website.
Ability to create visually compelling designs using existing images.
Strong photo research skills.
