Job Description

Job Summary: A Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. They act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions and detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts that may threaten the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

Responsibility:

• Checking ID's of the Residence
• X-Ray Security Screening
• Camera Surveillance
• Building Patrols

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must either be registered as a Security Officer with LSBPSE or meet requirements for registration, including:

• Be at least 18 years: of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Pass a background and fingerprint check with the Louisiana State Police

• Complete 16 hours of necessary classroom training

• Must be in good physical condition to complete necessary assignments, which might include walking or standing for extended periods.

• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat

• Must have a professional appearance.

• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.

• Must have open availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Must have a valid driver’s license or valid photo ID.

• Must have reliable transportation

• Experience not required, but preferred
