Job Summary and Qualifications The Certified Central Sterile Technician is responsible for proper decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization and storage of instrumentation for surgery and outside departments. What you will do in this role: + Prepare instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing and storing procedures.  + Understand principles of sterilization techniques and operates sterilization equipment.  + Assemble all instruments, trays, and drill drays for operating rooms according to policies and procedures.  + Perform equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance.  + Perform crash cart restocking/exchange.  + Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.  What qualifications you will need:  + High School Diploma or GED preferred. + Central Sterile Certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD required. + Prior related experience preferred.
