About the Role
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with a background in public accounting to deliver exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and a proven track record in financial statement preparation and income tax return preparation. This role involves daily interaction with clients, addressing their questions and concerns while providing expert guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, including GAAP, OCBOA, or non-report financials.
- Prepare individual and business income tax returns (e.g., 1040, 1120C, 1120S, 1065, 990, and 1041).
- Develop and maintain effective work papers in compliance with firm standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and assignments efficiently.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. CPA designation or candidacy is a strong plus.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in a public accounting environment, particularly with financial statements and tax preparation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, QuickBooks (desktop and online), and financial/tax preparation software.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build meaningful client relationships.
