Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II, Talent Acquisition Section, the Staff Services Manager I is responsible for leading and managing a team of Human Resources professionals responsible for all aspects of the hiring and recruitment process. The incumbent will ensure the hiring and selection process follows civil service laws, rules and regulations. This includes but is not limited to the review of hiring packages to ensure merit-based hiring decisions, exam planning, development and implementation, classification and compensation, recruitment, and outreach. The Staff Services Manager I will provide consultation on the most sensitive and complex human resources management issues while providing support to team members. The incumbent will also work in partnership with the Outreach Manager to ensure the implementation of the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) Recruitment Plan.
