Job Opportunity: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Company: Leading Construction Firm
Location: Multiple locations, including Oxnard and San Luis Obispo, CA

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee safety operations across various job sites. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, minimizing workplace risks, and fostering a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with employees at multiple locations to maintain compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and other safety regulations.
• Develop and implement effective site-specific health and safety plans.
• Manage and facilitate safety training programs and orientations.
• Conduct equipment inspections and ensure adherence to Lockout/Tag-Out, Hot Work Permits, and other safety protocols.
• Oversee inspections of electrical systems, trenches, water systems, and general workplace conditions.
• Maintain and update injury records, safety documentation, and compliance reports.
• Monitor workplace safety practices to prevent injuries and minimize penalties.
• Engage with various regulatory agencies and adapt to diverse employee needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in safety management within the construction industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations (certification required).
• Experience with mold, lead and/or asbestos a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to safety challenges.
• Demonstrated success in developing and enforcing safety programs.
