Job Description

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Determine guest’s needs within the first seven days.
• Set goals and deal with issues that have caused homelessness leading to permanent housing or admission to a needed program.
• Have knowledge of, and make referrals to, agencies and help that is available in the community.
• Help with accountability and enforcement of case management / money management.
• Responsible to do weekly case management.

Job standards:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Bible, Christian Education, Social Work, or a related field.
• Ability to communicate verbally with guests’ families, other helping agencies, and church representatives, board members, the public, and other staff members.
• Ability to read/write English and document transactions. Knowing Spanish as a second language would be a plus.
• Must be honest, dependable, and exhibit a warm, cheerful, caring manner.
• Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license.
