Job Description

The Vice President, Clinical Program Design and Member/Patient Experience , will lead both the creation of new clinical (& non-clinical) programs at Mindoula, and the improvement of current programs, as needed to support existing teams. Mindoula's whole health focus has earned us a market-leading position and created opportunities to extend and expand our product and program suite. A successful leader in this role will be able to work at both the strategic level to understand market, patient, and partner needs, and at the detailed level to write proposals and create detailed guides to launch and deliver on new programs. They will work closely with our Chief Customer Officer, Chief Clinical Strategy Officer, our VP New Initiatives, and our program General Managers (as applicable), as well as our President & COO.

What you'll do...

  • Partner with Mindoula's leadership team to design, develop, and refine Mindoula's clinical and non-clinical programs, including both extensions to Mindoula's current suite of programs (in Specialty Population Health, Collaborative Care Program, and Direct Care), and new programs intended to extend the company's reach into new markets.. 
  • In partnership with leadership, identify compelling program extensions and new programs and create outlines and proposals to support the exploration and/or sales processes. Exploration of new programs will require a robust set of internal and external analyses and conversations to determine value, target population(s), desired outcomes, clinical and non-clinical staffing, engagement models, etc., within determined budgets.
  • Once programs are green-lit, develop detailed operating manuals and training programs, in partnership with newly identified program leaders, to ensure programs can be delivered and scaled within approved budgets and to deliver target outcomes.
  • Support new program launch and maturation to ensure teams can successfully deliver on model and deliver expected results.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, strategy, and technical colleagues to flesh out the robust details of new programs to ensure that they can be delivered sustainably, at scale, and with the highest quality to produce nationally recognized outcomes, including technology and data enablement. 
  • Partner with business leaders of existing programs to create best in class customer/patient experience and to identify, prioritize, flesh out, and implement program improvements to delight our patients, members, providers, and partners and to improve outcomes. 
  • Partner with teams to identify and close gaps in care and quality, on a continuous basis, through better program design and training, and to ensure that we meet all federal compliance requirements and standards.
  • Support business leaders of existing programs to plan and deliver an annual training calendar for all business lines, including creation and delivery of training content, especially around fundamental skills (e.g., brief therapeutic interventions, motivational interviewing, etc.). 
  • Develop deep and functional knowledge of our business and all of our programs, along with their special sauce and potential gaps, to inform future program design and improvements to current programs.
  • Observe teams in the field, on calls, and through case note review and other program documentation for continuous feedback and improvement and to inform program design and improvements.
  • Identify and develop creative and engaging content for additional media (e.g., portal, app) based on clinical best practices to enlighten and empower our members. 
  • Serve as a clinical subject matter expert and hands on partner for all program leaders as we launch, deliver, and continuously improve our programs based on partner input, member/patient feedback, and program performance/outcomes. 
  • Perform Other duties as assigned and/or necessary to meet overall objectives of the role and our business.

What you'll need...

  • Masters Degree in Public Health related field. Prefer LCSW, LCPC, RN, NP, PA-C, Ph.D. with at least 10 years of experience in the behavioral health field, including in program design and delivery 
  • Thorough, solid knowledge of healthcare and managed care administration
  • Understanding of current population health management strategies such as health education, case and disease management, demand management resource utilization, risk assessment, and whole person health
  • Experience with creating population health and other clinical and non-clinical programs with demonstrated outcomes 
  • Experience with training distributed teams in multiple formats, including virtual training 
  • Direct team management experience 
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, draw conclusions, and determine solutions for program design and training 
  • Experience with technology platforms and stakeholder needs, to help with prioritizing development roadmaps 
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment while considering new and untested approaches 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Location... 

This is a remote position that must be located within the United States. The role will include occasional travel as needed to observe fieldwork and train teams across the country. Mindoula is unable to provide any employment sponsorship.
